So I've been doing my research and reading as many texts and articles about Home Ed as I can lay my hands on and I've come across a wee bit in my most recent source which I thought was quite though provoking...
taken from 'Elective home education in the UK' - simon webb
"Home educating parents avoid the anxiety of packing their 2 years olds off to nursery. Not for them the groans of dismay at the prospect of having their child on their hands during the summer holidays. They like their children and enjoy their company, The more they see of them the better. This definitely marks home educators out as being unusual. Perhaps it is this pleasure of parents in the company of their own children which makes people uneasy about home education. It may seem unnatural to many that a parent would want to have a toddler or teenager around the house for twenty four hours a day."
( NOTE - Now by no means am I insinuating that all you out there dont like your children, of course im not - my friends among my followers I know you like & love your kiddies!!)
Just something to ponder...
